Congratulations to senior goaltender Veronika Tsymbler on being named Pacific Coast League Goalie of the Year, one of the league's top two honors for Girls Lacrosse. Veronika broke the school record for goals allowed per game by two full goals and posted a 51% save percentage, one of the top marks in the county. It is the most prestigious honor ever earned by a Woodbridge lacrosse player.
*** UPDATE*** Veronika was also named as the second team All-County Goalie.
Remarkably, this was only Veronika's second season in goal, having begun her lacrosse career as an attacker. This honor is a testament to her hard work, selflessness, and total commitment.
At the Girls Lacrosse banquet on Thursday, seven other girls were announced as having earned All-League status. They were:
- First Team - junior defender Caity Duke and sophomore midfielder Anna Takushi;
- Second Team - junior defender Stephanie Renteria and junior attacker Patricia Tam;
- Honorable Mention - senior midfielder Aura Meza, sophomore midfielder Sage Klemek, and sophomore defender Ji Yoo Chang.
